Jura Beige is very hard limestone which we like working with because it is firstly a beautiful stone, but also is highly durable and well suited to being used in both living areas as well as bathrooms.
The sand blasting and brushing process is a new and interesting finish we have added to our range of Jura Beige Limestone. The sandblasting gives the stone texture, and the diamond brushing has the effect of beginning to smooth the stone out again but not completely. The brushing also helps draw through some of the character which is lost during the sandblasting process.
The overall appearance, like in the pictures, is of a slightly softer feel and less clinical finish than is sometimes the case with honed or polished limestone tiles. These tiles also work well in areas where a higher slip resistance is preferred for example, family bathrooms, swimming pools and spas. A 20 or 25mm thick version is also suitable for exterior use onto a solid base. 25 or 30mm limestone can be installed onto sand and cement.
