Tumbled Galala is an Egyptian Limestone which we stock in a large format tile of 500mm wide and random lengths, as well as 900x600x18mm. These sizes are in keeping with the naturally antiqued style of the floor. The material is calibrated to 18mm thick which is a good solid piece of stone in what is already a hard wearing and dense material.
The natural colour of the stone is a pale ivory colour. We request the quarry to select stone from different blocks in order to bring some colour variation into the floor. The lightest tiles are cream and the richer stones are ivory. The natural character in the limestone is subtle with low concentrations of shells, fossils and some light veining.
