Tiles were trimmed down and used as risers and the treads were bull nosed on the front and one short edge.
The bottom step was extended and a radius bull nosed as well which hooked around the side of the rest of the stairs. We also pre-drilled each tread with three holes to allow for the cast iron spindles and handrail.
There was also a half landing for which we supplied three large slabs of 30mm Peal Limestone. These were cut to size from templates to ensure they fitted perfectly after delivery to the customer's property.
In this case the stairs we constructed from steel with wells in each thread which were filled with concrete to add strength and rigidity.
