We have procured production overrun. This ultra hard wearing floor was extremely expensive to produce due to the numerous processes which it has undergone. Due to Stone Vale being one this quarry's main customers we were offered the limestone first, as an add on to our monthly deliveries.
This limestone has been firstly cut into a larger than normal OPUS Romana pattern. The pieces fit together in a hybrid OPUS pattern, where the stones have been increased in size by 37.5 percent. Each piece is deeply brushed to mould the surface and make it feel centuries old. The faces are also lightlly distressed in one or two random areas, further enhancing the finish. Next, the stone is hand cut down the sides to chisel an antique detail into the edges. Just to finish it perfectly the limestone is calibrated to 20 mm thick for ease of fitting.
